Tractable uses deep learning techniques and computer vision (Visual AI) to help repair, protect and assess cars and homes. Today over 25 of the global 100 P&C insurers use the Tractable platform with over $2B a year processed in vehicle repairs and purchases and over 1M households helped after accidents and natural disasters. The founders were previously researchers at Imperial College and Cambridge University. In 2021, GEICO closed an $8M a year contract with Tractable and the company became a unicorn with its Series D financing led by Georgian Partners and Insight.
